NISSAN Intelligent Key

NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY (if so equipped)

If your Nissan Versa is equipped with an Intelligent Key fob, you can replace the internal battery by following these simple steps:

1. Release and remove the mechanical emergency key from the main Intelligent Key housing.

2. Insert a small flathead screwdriver designated as A into the corner slit B and gently twist it to separate the upper casing part from the lower casing part. It is recommended to place a soft cloth over the tip of the screwdriver to protect the plastic casing from scratching.

3. Take out the old battery and replace it with a fresh new one.

The recommended replacement battery type is CR2032 or an equivalent cell.

• Do not touch the delicate internal circuit board or electrical contact terminals with your fingers, as doing so could cause a permanent device malfunction.
• Always hold the coin battery strictly by its outer edges. Holding the battery flat across its top and bottom contact points will seriously deplete its electrical storage capacity.
• Make sure that the positive (+) side of the battery faces downward toward the bottom of the lower housing part.

4. Snap the plastic cover lid back together securely as illustrated with points C and D .

5. Operate the lock and unlock buttons to verify that the key fob functions correctly.
