Nissan Versa: Monitor, climate, audio, phone and voice recognition systems - Before starting the engine

  • Make sure the immediate surrounding area around your Nissan Versa is completely clear of any physical obstacles, debris, or pedestrians before moving.
  • Check essential fluid levels—such as engine oil, engine coolant, brake and clutch fluid (if so equipped), and windshield-washer fluid—as frequently as possible, or at least every time you pull up to refuel your vehicle.
  • Check and verify that all exterior windows, side mirrors, headlights, and tail lights are clean and free of obstruction.
  • Visually inspect all four tires for their overall appearance, tread wear condition, and structural integrity. Also check that your tires are properly inflated to the correct placard pressure.
  • Securely lock all doors before setting off on your journey.
  • Position your driver's seat comfortably and adjust the head restraints and headrests to properly support your neck and head.
  • Adjust both the interior rearview mirror and exterior side mirrors to eliminate blind spots.
  • Fasten your seat belt securely and actively ask all passengers riding in your Nissan Versa to do likewise before the engine fires up.
  • Check the normal operation and illumination of all dashboard warning lights and indicators the moment the ignition switch is placed into the ON position.
