The seat belt webbing can be safely cleaned by wiping the straps with a soft sponge dampened in a mild soap and warm water solution. Always allow the cleaned seat belts to dry completely in the shade before pulling them out or using them again.

WARNING

Do not allow wet or damp seat belts to retract and roll up into the retractor mechanism. NEVER use household bleach, fabric dye, or harsh chemical solvents to clean the seat belts, as these aggressive chemicals will severely weaken the synthetic seat belt webbing and compromise safety in a crash.
