Instrument panel

The integrated 12V DC power outlet is designed to supply electrical power to compatible mobile accessories, such as cellular telephone chargers, navigation devices, or portable air pumps.

This accessory power outlet is rated for a maximum output of 12 Volt, 120W (10A).

CAUTION

  • The power outlet socket and the accessory plug itself can become extremely hot during or immediately after extended periods of use.
  • To prevent electrical faults, never connect accessories that exceed the maximum power draw limit of 12 Volt, 120W (10A).
  • Do not plug in double adapters, multi-outlet splitters, or run more than one electrical accessory from this single socket at any given time.
  • To avoid discharging the 12V vehicle battery, always operate electrical accessories through the power outlet while the Nissan Versa engine is running.
  • To protect the electrical system from voltage drops, avoid using the power outlet when high-load systems like the air conditioner, headlights, or rear window defroster are turned on.
  • Make sure that the electrical accessory you are using is turned completely off before inserting or disconnecting its power plug from the outlet.
  • Push the accessory plug firmly into the socket as far as it will go. If a secure electrical connection is not established, the plug may overheat, or the internal temperature-sensitive fuse may blow.
  • Always keep the protective outlet cap snapped closed when the socket is not in use. Do not let water, condensation, soft drinks, or any other liquids come into contact with the inner socket.
