Nissan Versa: Instruments and controls - Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection OFF switch

The Automatic Emergency Braking AEB with Pedestrian Detection OFF switch on the lower driver side switch panel

The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection system is a primary safety feature designed to protect you and those around you. It automatically defaults to the enabled state every time you start the engine of your Nissan Versa.

Under specific driving scenarios where you prefer to deactivate the assistance, you can push the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection OFF switch (if so equipped). When pressed, the indicator light on the button will go off, and the yellow AEB with Pedestrian Detection system warning light will illuminate on the instrument panel meter to alert you that active braking support is disabled. Disabling this system with the switch will also automatically turn off the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system.
