WARNING

Always verify that the ignition switch is turned completely to the OFF or LOCK position before inspecting or servicing the accessory drive belt. The engine components could rotate unexpectedly if the engine is accidentally turned over.

1. Visually inspect the drive belt surface carefully along its entire length for signs of unusual wear, deep cracks, transverse cuts, or edge fraying. If the drive belt is found to be in poor physical condition, have it replaced or adjusted promptly.

It is recommended that you visit an authorized NISSAN dealer to perform this expert service.

2. Have the condition of the drive belt checked regularly during routine maintenance intervals to ensure reliable engine accessory operation.
