CAUTION

Never connect electrical accessory ground wires directly to the negative battery terminal post. Doing so will bypass the sensitive current sensor of the variable voltage control system, which can prevent the vehicle battery from charging completely and trigger electrical system faults.
Always operate high-draw electrical accessories with the engine running to avoid discharging the vehicle battery prematurely.

Your Nissan Versa is equipped with an advanced variable voltage control system designed to optimize electrical generation efficiency. This system continuously monitors the amount of electrical discharge flowing from the battery and dynamically regulates the charging voltage generated by the alternator.

The electronic current sensor designated as A is located directly near the battery housing along the negative battery cable harness. If you choose to install auxiliary electrical accessories in your vehicle, ensure that you ground them properly to a suitable designated vehicle body ground point, such as a clean metal frame spot or the engine block mounting area, rather than the battery terminal.
