Adjusting the day/night lever on the Nissan Versa interior rearview mirror to reduce night glare

Using the night position (labeled 1) by flipping the lever backward significantly reduces the blinding glare from the headlights of vehicles trailing behind you during night driving.

Return the lever to the day position (labeled 2) when driving in daylight hours to restore a clear, un-tinted rear view.

WARNING

Only use the mirror's night position when necessary to avoid glare, as the tinted reflection naturally reduces rearward clarity and detail.

Outside mirrors

Using the electric remote control switch on the door panel to adjust the Nissan Versa outside mirrors

To adjust the power outside mirrors, slide the small selector switch (labeled 1) to the left or right to choose the corresponding mirror. Then, adjust the chosen mirror's angle to the desired position using the larger four-way directional pad (labeled 2).

Once adjustment is complete, return the small selector switch to the center (neutral) position to prevent accidental mirror movement during driving.

WARNING

Do not attempt to adjust the outside mirrors while driving. Doing so takes your eyes off the road and your hands off the controls, which could cause you to lose control of your Nissan Versa and result in an accident.
Please note that objects viewed in the convex outside mirror on the passenger side of your Nissan Versa are closer than they appear. Exercise extreme caution when changing lanes to the right. Relying solely on this side mirror could lead to a collision; always verify distance by checking the inside rearview mirror or glancing over your shoulder before making a lane change.

Manual folding outside mirrors

To fold the outside mirror in tight parking spaces or narrow areas, manually pull the mirror assembly toward the door window glass until it sits flush with the side of the car.

Heated mirrors (if so equipped)

On select trim levels of the Nissan Versa, the outside side-view mirrors are equipped with heating elements designed to defog, defrost, or melt ice quickly for optimized visibility in cold weather.

To activate this heating function, simply push the rear window defroster switch located on the center console. Pressing the switch a second time will turn the heaters off manually, or they will automatically shut off after approximately 15 minutes of operation.
